Iowa LLC Fees: The Complete 2026 List
Iowa's fee schedule is short and friendly: $50 once to form, $30 every other year to stay in good standing, and $0 to change your registered agent. Here is every state fee an LLC owner is likely to meet, followed by our own pricing.
Formation: $50 for the Certificate of Organization
The Iowa Secretary of State collects a flat $50 for the Certificate of Organization (Iowa Code § 489.122(1)(c)). There is no fill-in form; you draft the document yourself or file through the Fast Track Filing portal, which builds it for you. The fee is the same either way.
Every Other Year: the Biennial Report
Iowa LLCs file a biennial report, not an annual one, and only in odd-numbered years. The window runs January 1 to April 1; the next cycle is 2027. The fee is $30 filed online through Fast Track Filing, or $45 by mail or in person. Iowa sets no statutory late fee, but a report still missing by the following August gets a domestic LLC administratively dissolved.
